Although we did have some good news a few weeks ago about Tim's tumor shrinkage, he's had a pretty rough time with his recent round of chemo. The next day (after the good news), Tim got pretty sick. For the past 3 weeks, it's been mostly nausea, inflamed tongue and esophagus, loss of taste, and diarrhea. The side effects from Paul's chemo aren't as bad so far, although he does have diarrhea as well. We're considering taking out stock in TP, ha ha.
Yesterday Tim had yet another round of chemo, so we're hoping it will go better than last time. We keep telling ourselves that if the chemo is doing it's job, we'll just bear with it. It doesn't stop us from trying to take a few walks or short hikes, but it is a challenge. The desert lily pictured here blooms gloriously in what would otherwise seem like a pretty desolate place. Likewise, we perk up with the support and love from all our friends. You really help us bear up to the pain and discomfort of our struggles, so heartfelt thanks to all of you.
